Dr. Robert S. Hartman, Nobel Prize nominee and the father of formal axiology, the science behind 6 Advisors™, mathematically identified six very different and unique dimensions of thought. We have affectionately and metaphorically referred to these six dimensions of thought as your 6 Advisors™.

Based on over five decades of research, Hartman created the Hartman Value Profile assessment instrument which provides a mathematical means of measuring people's thought processes using the formal axiological model. Over 100 studies have been used to validate the axiological model including an extensive study using a database of over 40,000 people from executives to entry level workers.

The Hartman Value Profile Instrument which consists of 2 sets of 18 axiological statements or phrases (words) that the subject is asked to rank order. Each word or phrase has been scientifically validated to represent one level of the eighteen levels in the value mathematics hierarchy of value. There are 6.4 quadrillion possible combinations of these rankings so your results are as unique to you as your fingerprint.

The results from the Hartman Value Profile Instrument are applied to the 6 Advisors™ Assessment Report, a proprietary instrument that clearly identifies strengths and challenges, the extent of each, the potential risks of each, and possible internal dialogue associated with each measurement.

Unlike all other assessment instruments, this structure allows us to understand 'how' a person thinks and perceives—not what you think, but how you think. In other words, value science tells us what we pay attention to, what is important to us, and how our value or thought biases influence our decisions and actions.

Scientifically Measurable Results space

This objective, web-based, and laser-accurate assessment process takes less than 20 minutes per person to administer. It is NOT a personality type indicator or behavioral analysis and does not label or categorize people.

From this starting point, we take you through a 14-week coaching program applying time-tested, principle-based practices that help you dramatically improve your thinking and, therefore, your performance. These proven principles are so effective that, in addition to your individual results and performance improvements, we scientifically measure improvements in thinking over time — providing empirical evidence of the sustainable success of our coaching services.

Axiology: The Science behind 6 Advisors™

The word 'axiology', derived from two Greek roots 'axios' (worth or value) and 'logos' (logic or theory), means the theory of value. Axiology is the science of how humans value and make value judgments. To value is to think, to assign meaning and determine the richness of properties. These concepts are usually considered highly subjective and, therefore, having meaning and understanding only to the individual who holds those values.

From a practical, business perspective the formal science of axiology enables us to identify and measure the internal valuing systems (our capacity to make value judgments and decisions) that influence our perceptions, decisions, and actions to clearly understand how we think and why we do what we do!

While Natural Science explains human behavior, Axiology explains and measures the thinking that forms the foundation for, and leads to, our behavior. Even more importantly, the knowledge axiology provides is objective, independent of any one observer, and accurate regardless of race, religion, gender, or socioeconomic condition.

The development of the formal science of axiology makes possible the objective measurement of value—how humans think—as accurately as a thermometer measures the temperature.
